Dynamic Training delivers the Level 2 Certificate in Principles of Working with Individuals with Learning Disabilities, a nationally recognised qualification designed to develop the knowledge, confidence, and understanding required to support individuals with learning disabilities effectively, safely, and inclusively. This knowledge-based programme provides learners with a strong foundation in person-centred approaches, equality and inclusion, safeguarding, communication, positive risk-taking, and supporting individuals to achieve greater independence and quality of life.

Learners will develop an understanding of learning disabilities, their impact on individuals and families, and the importance of promoting rights, choice, dignity, wellbeing, and participation. The programme supports learners in developing the knowledge required to work in a wide range of health, social care, community, and support settings.

With flexible online delivery, structured tutor support, and portfolio-based assessment, learners can gain a recognised qualification while balancing work, family, and other commitments.

Learners complete assigned workbooks, reflective activities, case studies, and written assessments, uploading evidence to their e-portfolio throughout the programme.

Qualification Structure

This nationally recognised qualification develops knowledge and understanding of learning disabilities and effective support approaches within health and social care settings.

Awarding Organisation: NCFE CACHE

Assessment: Portfolio-based assessment through written assignments, workbooks, reflective accounts, and knowledge-based activities submitted through an e-portfolio. No examinations are required.

Note: This is a knowledge-based qualification and does not require workplace observation. Learners can successfully complete the programme whether they are currently employed within the sector or preparing for future roles.

Learning & Development Support Scheme (LDSS) Funding

The Adult Social Care Learning and Development Support Scheme (LDSS) is a government-funded initiative launched by the Department of Health and Social Care in September 2024. The scheme helps adult social care employers in England invest in workforce development by reimbursing costs for eligible training courses and qualifications for both regulated and non-regulated adult social care staff.
