Level 2 Award in Awareness of Dementia
Accredited Qualification
Dynamic Training delivers the Level 2 Award in Awareness of Dementia (RQF), a nationally recognised qualification designed to develop knowledge, understanding, and awareness of dementia and its impact on individuals, families, carers, and services. This knowledge-based programme provides learners with a strong foundation in dementia awareness, person-centred approaches, communication strategies, equality and inclusion, and the importance of supporting people to live well with dementia.
Learners will explore the causes and different types of dementia, understand how dementia affects brain function and behaviour, and develop practical knowledge of effective communication and person-centred support. The programme promotes dignity, inclusion, and understanding while helping learners build confidence in supporting individuals affected by dementia across health and social care settings.
The qualification is suitable for a wide range of roles, including adult social care, healthcare support, voluntary organisations, community services, and individuals preparing for employment within the care sector.
