Skills Scan & Supporting Evidence

Have you uploaded everything to your OneFile e-portfolio? 

As part of your application, you will already have sent us copies of your qualifications and certificates.  

To help us understand the skills, knowledge and experience you already have, please complete your Skills Scan and upload any additional evidence that may be relevant. 

What Do I Need to Do? 

1. Complete your Skills Scan. 
2. Upload any additional evidence that shows your existing skills, knowledge and experience. 

Your Skills Scan and any supporting evidence must be submitted within 72 hours (3 days) of attending your induction. This allows your allocated coach enough time to review the information before your Planning Meeting.

What Evidence Can I Upload? 

• You may wish to upload: 
• Any certificates or qualifications you did not include with your application.  
• Recent appraisal or performance review documents.  
• Competency assessments or sign-off records.  
• Supervision notes.  
• CPD records or training logs.  
• Other workplace evidence that demonstrates the skills and knowledge you use in your role.

Where possible, workplace competency evidence should be from the last 12 months.

Why Is This Important? 

We review your Skills Scan and supporting evidence to identify any learning, skills or experience you already have that may be relevant to your apprenticeship. This helps us make sure your programme is planned appropriately and meets your individual learning needs.  

Important Information

Your Planning Meeting will usually take place within two weeks of your induction. During this meeting, your coach will review your Skills Scan and any evidence you have uploaded.

Once the Planning Meeting has taken place, we cannot consider any further evidence as part of the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) process.
