Line Managers Of Our Apprentices
Guidance and practical information for line managers and mentors to help maximise the impact of the apprenticeship programme for both the learner and the employer.
Line Manager And Mentor Support
At Dynamic Training, we know that line managers and mentors play a pivotal role in helping learners settle into their apprenticeship, build confidence and apply their learning to the workplace, maximising Impact.
This page brings together the key information, support and resources available during the early stages of the learner journey.
A Warm Welcome from Dynamic Training
Thank you for supporting your apprentice.
Your role is vital in helping your learner develop, succeed and make a meaningful impact in the workplace. We are here to support you throughout the apprenticeship journey and to make your role as clear and manageable as possible.
Your Role In Supporting Your Apprentice
We aim to make your role straightforward and manageable. We ask line managers/mentors to support learners in three key ways.
1. Support Learning In The Work Place
- Giving opportunities to develop and apply skills
- Allowing time for learning activities linked to the apprenticeship
2. Join Progress Check-Ins
- Once Every Quarter
- Usually lasting around 45 minutes
- Focused on learner progress, wellbeing and performance
These check-ins help ensure that the apprenticeship remains relevant, supportive and impactful for both the learner and the employer.
3. Give Regular Feedback
Your feedback helps us understand how the learner is progressing in the workplace.
We may ask you to complete short feedback requests or email surveys during the programme. These are designed to be quick and simple to complete.
At any time, if you have a concern or need additional support you can click here to email us or call us on 0208 607 7850.

Mentoring Support
We strongly recommend that each learner has support from a workplace mentor where possible.
A mentor can play an important role in helping a learner settle into their role, build confidence and make the most of their apprenticeship. Effective mentoring can also increase the impact of the apprenticeship for the employer by supporting workplace development and stronger learner engagement.
Our Mentoring an Apprentice Workshop is designed to equip mentors with the skills and confidence to provide effective support throughout the programme.
