BTEC Level 3 Award in Awareness of End of Life Care

Suitable for: learners aged 16 and over 

Entry requirements: No prior knowledge, understanding, skills or qualifications are required for learners to undertake this qualification.

The BTEC Level 3 Award in Awareness of End of Life Care (QCF) is suitable for learners who work in, or want to work in, the health and social care sector.

It provides you the opportunity to:

  • develop knowledge related to the aims and principles of end of life care, communication factors, and how to access a range of support services in end of life care
    learn about different perspectives of death and dying
  • achieve a nationally-recognised Level 3 qualification

In order to achieve the Level 3 Award in Awareness of End of Life Care programme, you will need to complete the three mandatory units within the qualification. 

  • Understand how to work in end of life care
  • Understand how to provide support when working in end of life care
  • Understand how to support individuals during the last days of life

Minimum number of credits that must be achieved: 10

the people of the UK.
