Pippa Richardson

My current role is as Curriculum Lead and Lead Tutor for our Supported Internship Programme which is also known as ‘My Career’.  I also deliver commercial training for the organisation.

Alongside this, I am thrilled to be starting a Masters in Special Education – Autism degree from September 2018- July 2021.

My background includes qualifying as a Learning Disability Nurse in 1993 (current/revalidated) before moving onto managing community residential services for people with learning disabilities. I then moved into education; assessing and verifying health, social care and management programmes. I completed a Certificate in Education qualification in 2007 and progressed Curriculum Design/Manager roles.

Mandy Dunsford

Mandy is a Job Coach and Tutor on the Supported Internship Programme at Redwood College.

Mandy semi retired from the health service seven years ago where she was employed as a Community Nurse for people with learning disabilities for twenty years. She loved her job and was taught so much by the families and individuals she worked with.

Mandy has had a varied career within the health and social care sector and believes that individuals shouldn't be underestimated and supported to reach their potential.

Mandy believes in an inclusive workforce and through her role as a Job Coach, she can facilitate the work journey for young people who have every right to be employed.

 Supported Internships are everybody’s business.

Angela George

I am the Project Manager on the Ealing Careers Clusters programme working with SEND young people in the borough of Ealing. I engage with schools and employers and try to marry the two up, to ensure that young people with SEND are given an exposure to the world of work.

I organise employer engagement activities with an aim of raising awareness, building confidence and increasing disability awareness.  I support schools and colleges with their careers strategies, ensuring that young people receive high quality careers guidance with an aim to reduce the number of young people with SEND who find themselves out of education, employment or training.
